Why won’t my new cigar humidor get humid?

I purchased a humidor, a small wooden 50 capacity box, just for my personal collection. I received it and followed the steps to season it. I wiped down the inside with distilled water, filled my system to capacity with 50/50, and left a sponge in for 24 hours. After that first day, i resumed wiping it down and leaving it shut without the sponge for another 24 hours. I have repeated this process but I can not get the humidor to consistently stay above 60% humidity (I have an analog thermometer.) I don’t know what else to do, in order to get to the desired 70% range inside my box. Thanks for any help!

My humidor wont get humid?

So i got my humidor from a really good friend of mine who knows his cigars and humidors very well, this humidor is just the basic humidor holds about 20, but my problem is that i cant get it humid i bought a decent sampler and threw the cigars in the humidor and the humidor wasn’t reading anything above 48ish. I like making my own things so i found out how to make my own humidifier with wet foam and propylene glycol, and i know for a fact that thats not the problem, because i threw it in a Tupperador so i could get my stogies back to health and its been working GREAT! But I want to use the humidor for what it should be used for, it just wont stay humid inside i have a homemade humidifier inside of it at the moment trying to get the humidity up, but its not workin. any help would be great, hopefully this all makes sense to ya guys thanks?

Humidor not staying humid enough.?

I have a small 20 count cigar humidor. The humidifier that came with it needed to be replaced because it was no longer keeping it humid enough. I bought a new humidifier that says it is for a max of 25 cigars (I only have 15 right now) and put it in the humidor. (I filled it with distilled water)

Ive noticed that it is not keeping the humidor at a good level. I have also wet the ceder inside, this helps but only for a little while, once it drys up, it returns to being too dry.

Any Ideas??
