I am going the cheap route for a bit, but i have all of my best cigars in there and definitely want to keep them perfect. I love these things called “water pillows” but I have no idea what level of humidity they put out and how many I would need on a humidor that measures 18″ width x 11.25″ depth x 10.25″ height so if any one can tell me how many I would need that would be great. And If you have any other fairly cheap ideas let me know, I’ll see if there on CI.com. Thanks
How long do those beads hold moisture? they look great

I am beginning a project to build my own cigar humidor box, i want it to be able to hold around 50 cigars or less, i do not want the box to be too large! I know practically nothing about woodworking so i am hoping this project is a challenge, but not impossible, and although i do not own any woodworking tools i know of people who have just about any tool and would let me use them to help construct my humidor. So with that said, my question/s are does any one know of a good, easy to follow site on how to build a humidor box and the materials needed. Or.. if anyone reading this is experienced in the making of a humidor from scratch feel free to contact me at ljleitheiser@yahoo.com.
P.S. I am starting to learn the basics of what materials are needed for this project, but i am willing to take any advice i can!
Thanks!

So I’ve started getting into smoking cigars, but to tell you the truth..I probably only smoke a cigar or two every 2/3/4 weeks…more so when i’m on vacation, but yeah very light social smoking. Anyway I was thinking about picking up a humidor so I can start a collection, and not have to visit the cigar store everytime I want to smoke a cigar.
Anyway, I’m looking to spend less than $80 on the humidor and whatever accessories it needs. I’m looking for something that’s easy to set up and maintain as well, and as for look options…I just prefer it be black. I’m thinking 25 capacity should be fine, but a friend of mine told me it’s much better to have a 50 capacity (not sure why though, maybe you could tell me).
Anyway for you cigar aficionados, can you make some recommendations on a humidor and/or site I should go to that would best suit my needs? Thanks a bunch.
